Our beloved friend, brother and backbone of Eastmans, passed on Thursday in his sleep. Kevin was a fixture here for many years, he started here at age 12 working as crew for my grandfather Oscar, went off to college and then several successful careers until finally coming back to Eastmans for his last 20 years. Always remained a close friend to many of us through the many years and recently could say hi to thousands of patrons by first name from behind the register. We’ll be celebrating his life and contributions to all of us on Thursday, Aug 1 evening at 6:30 on the boats, with a reception at the restaurant to follow 8-9. All are welcome.
