After spending my entire 62+ years on the property at Eastmans, growing up at the house next door, it’s time to retire. Started by my grandfather in 1946, I took control in 1997. Feel very proud of what we accomplished and leaving it as the most popular fishing company in NE, best restaurant on the Seacoast of NH. Obviously it wasn’t just myself and my family, but many devoted friends and employees who work their butts off to give the best possible experience. Nothing will change and I’ll still be involved for a couple years. Difference, I’ll take the compliments, but complaints( which I have to brag, are few and far between) are for Phil. I’m leaving the company in good hands, my brothers, sister, nieces and nephews, along with the best staff anywhere. And staff isn’t a suitable word. Many are the very reason we’ve done so well. And if I name them all I’ll forget someone and be in trouble. This is my 43 year with my Capt license ( yes not used much last 4 years) but it’s time to not get up at 4 am and worry about so many things that this business encounters on a day to day, year to year basis. I’ll still work when my 80 year old mother shows up for her shifts on Monday and Thursdays next summer, and I’ll try to still work with government officials for all our causes. Thanks for everything. Posting will now be done by brother Phil or my niece Audrey. Fishing today was good compared to a very slow day yesterday(Saturday). The marathon slammed them, with limit of big Cod(25+) giant Pollock and most limit of Haddock. We are very busy this week( everything sold out tomorrow, Monday ) so please call for reservations. It’s been great!!!
