Apologies. The all day Haddock trips had a few terrible trips this past week, when I say terrible, I mean not many keepers(some none) but between the weather, action and whales a fun time none the less. Last few days showed drastic improvement but in a strange way. Still not that many Haddock, but between the Haddock, big Pollock and Whiting, everyone going home with keepers and some double digits. And once again with the Whales, weather and now dinner and more, it’s great. The Whiting trips are incredible. Private charters, which most are targeting them(Whiting) are seeing epic numbers. Marc, who operates the Fisharkadventures website and trips, had the best trip of his life yesterday. This is a guy who fishes more than probably anyone but Capt Nate and said words like “ can’t explain how crazy it was”. They came home three hours early with no more room in the chest coolers. 150 plus pp but all 3-5 pounders(bats), just nonstop reeling. Mackerel on the half day at the Isles of Shoals are a massacre, Bass are terrible, three or four trips in a row with the skunk flag flying then a trip last night with 7 keepers, 20 throwbacks and 30 lost, still sucks but we’ll take that all day long. Half day Haddock is terrible but it’s the middle of August, to be expected. Obviously very busy, if not sold out this time of year every day you’re in the wrong business. Things will be slowing down soon enough, so enjoying the crowds. We keep adding public Whiting trips and will continue to do so, they sell out quicker than I can post them. Still openings on Sept 2&3, but not many, I’ll add a few more beginning of the week for September. We just don’t have the staff to run evening Squid trips but they’re so thick we’re catching them during the day on the all day boat. We’ll try to find a way next summer. I think that covers everything, evening Bass trips will be leaving at 5 pm due to daylight, not always the case so please confirm departure times. The Monday marathons have some spots available in August. Fireworks cruises are down to just a few with groups buying the boats out. We are running year round this winter, few different rules once we get into middle of November, details once we get closer. I’ll update more often, but please don’t expect every day.
