Storm wasn’t that severe, and moved out quickly to give us a beautiful day this Saturday. All day was good with a mix of Haddock, Whiting, Cusk and Pollock, one guy catching his limit of Haddock. Mackerel fishing was incredible at the Isles of Shoals. For some strange reason the Bass are scarce, just a […]
Out today Thursday July 8. All day fishing for Cod Haddock, Pollock, Whiting and Cusk has been disrupted by lots of sand sharks. Slow catching at best. Mackerel are solid at the isles of shoals, Bass are very slow even with a good tide, just a few schoolies last couple trips. All trips are Cx […]
One more day in port, looks like the wind might lay down a bit, but it will still be miserable. Left over seas and driving rain. Bouy report from Jefferies currently is 8.5 seas, winds close to 30 knots and the Gale warning in effect will expire tonight but I think the damage is done. […]
Sadly we have to Cx all trips tomorrow Friday July 2. Office is calling and trying to rebook or refund everyone as we speak. Obviously weather. Fishing is still good, lots of Mackerel, Bass and Haddock. Some sand sharks making it tough on the all day but still manageable. Stay here for updates. Capt Les
Go out and catch some fish. All day continues to be excellent, some dogs, but plenty of Haddock and now catching large Pollock and some Whiting. Lots of Whales, 20 degrees cooler out there. Like everywhere, very busy so please call for reservations. Capt Les Dwayne and his daughter Kathy enjoying a beautiful Sunday on […]
Not for all boats, but the LMAIII did excellent on the Haddock(8-10 average, several with limits). AB had Limit of Haddock and great news, the Whiting are here. Weather is incredible. Bass and Mackerel report tomorrow after tonight’s trip. Capt Les Marc ‘Fishark’ with one of many jumbo Whiting
Our first wave of sand sharks this year, but can’t complain with the fishing we’ve had. Still some Haddock with them but weekend crowds makes it tough, but great weather and best crews anywhere make it still an enjoyable day. Capt Les
Yesterday 4-8 Haddock pp on the all day, just a few schoolies on the Bass trip and beautiful weather. Little choppy today, report later. A final goodbye yesterday to a good friend, Dave Turner, trip dedicated to him and all the memories. Most of us have a custom rod or two from his talents and […]
After a slow weekend on the haddock on the LMA, the bite was excellent yesterday with full limits and a 43 inch pool winning Halibut caught by Fred Gardiner!! See prior post for picture!
