Best year catching Haddock in decades. Occasionally a bad day( tide, dogs or lockjaw) but 80% of the trips are excellent. Along with those Haddock are Whiting, Cusk and Pollock. Fishing on all fronts is excellent. Yesterday July 12th the all day had lots of Haddock( several people limited) tons of Mackerel at the Isles of Shoals and the Bass showed up in force. Couldn’t be better, but we could use some sun. Fireworks cruise tomorrow night has room. Capt Les

One more day in port, looks like the wind might lay down a bit, but it will still be miserable. Left over seas and driving rain. Bouy report from Jefferies currently is 8.5 seas, winds close to 30 knots and the Gale warning in effect will expire tonight but I think the damage is done. […]
Sadly we have to Cx all trips tomorrow Friday July 2. Office is calling and trying to rebook or refund everyone as we speak. Obviously weather. Fishing is still good, lots of Mackerel, Bass and Haddock. Some sand sharks making it tough on the all day but still manageable. Stay here for updates. Capt Les

Our first wave of sand sharks this year, but can’t complain with the fishing we’ve had. Still some Haddock with them but weekend crowds makes it tough, but great weather and best crews anywhere make it still an enjoyable day. Capt Les
