Finally, full run down of today’s fishing and the up coming Fall agenda, late this afternoon. We have a Whiting trip, Squid trip as well as two Haddock/Pollock/Cod trips. Three 6 packs out also. Update 1530. The Squid fishing was ridiculous today, never seen so many Squid everywhere, actually making it difficult to catch Cod, Pollock and Haddock. The Whiting fishing is all done for this year, they barely caught any, less than 20 on the boat but caught Squid. Ground fishing was slow but please remember GOM is a big place, after 7 days of not going due to the Noreaster we lose track of where they went. That will improve. We are changing up our fall program, we will continue to add Squid trips, actually next Wednesday and Thursday were just added, using the LAM, the next trips listed as we go along. For our regular all day, we are changing our trips to 10 hour marathons starting October 15th until we close November 29th for an additional $15/ trip, so 6 am limited to 50 passengers 10 hours and $100. Between it getting dark earlier and colder, we can still operate with only 50 on board hoping the fuel doesn’t go any higher than it is. We are not running this December/January and February due to the USCG inspection( 18 month Drydock) and lots of work to be done on the boats, need to put them inside for exterior hull work. Charters are available on all boats/ all days as long as the weather is adequate. There are no discounts during that 6 weeks 10/15-11/29. If you have any concern over this please see Phil privately. I’ll report later tomorrow on the fishing. We still have room tomorrow and Friday trying to use two boats, but don’t depend on it, tomorrow maybe @50, Friday almost definitely with already too many for one boat signed up. Weather looks perfect.
