Haddock up and down last 45 minutes of the trip. Wasn’t that cold after all, actually a beautiful day. Flat calm, with the outside heated rails and 45 degree water wasn’t bad at all. It was an ominous looking ocean as we departed Seabrook this morning, pics on yesterday’s post, but turned out really nice and fishing was good. The day started with a slow pic on Pollock, not good enough but we stayed with it hoping for improvement. After putting enough for dinner in the boat, we went looking. Leaving the pollock we had a few people with none, most with 2-3 and some with 5-6. Couple spots with slow pick, then down the ledge where we stumbled on a mother load of Haddock. Last 45 minutes was up and down on nice Haddock. Most everyone caught a few, most caught 5-6 and just as many that caught a few, caught 10-12. It was excellent the last 45 minutes, whether they’ll be there next trip out, we will see, but very encouraging so many bunched up and hungry. Those that braved the elements, were rewarded. We are closed tomorrow and Christmas Day, sold out, Thursday through Saturday, with openings Sunday and Monday. Keep an eye here for weather updates but looks good from here. Thanks to all that fish with us, have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the love of your families.
