I don’t ever remember two 5 day stretches of wind and cancellations in the month of October, hopefully November isn’t so bad. We have 4 boats out today, but haven’t been out since Monday, so might take the whole day to find them, but with 4 boats it will be easier. If you didn’t read the report from Monday, it was a full fledged massacre on huge Pollock, with Haddock mixed in. Check last report. Today the weather is perfect for November, calm seas. Looks like tomorrow(Monday 11/3) is the same. Marathon tomorrow is sold out but we still have openings on the regular all day boat. I will report on fishing when I find out. Winter fishing is tricky in the Gulf of Maine and I know most of you come from hours away, we do our very best at picking and choosing the days to sail as far as weather goes, and try to give at least 48 hours notice. You can always check here for updates on weather. Ideally we get out at least 2 or 3 days, but winter of 22/23 we ran 26 days in the month of January and the fishing was incredible, more than likely why we were sold out. Due to cold weather we have to limit passenger counts to accommodate everyone in the climate controlled cabins, but once it gets really cold, we only use the LMA which also has outside heated rails. Both the LAM and LMA also have satellite TV so not to miss any of the many games during the Fall. Update later. Tuesday is CX, high winds, running Wednesday with room. FISH REPORT 1545. It wasn’t the massacre like Monday but excellent, most people with jigs has 20+ and some rookies with bait only 5-10, but after 5 days at the dock, it took a couple hours to find them, then up and down and a fade in the afternoon. Some Haddock and Reds, all the Mackerel you wanted, if you had a spinning rod. As I said excellent day, we still have some room on the all day tomorrow, marathon sold out. Two boats Wednesday so we still have room.
