Except for the 6 packs and the Marathon on Lady Audrey Mae who did OK yesterday (Saturday), fishing was considered poor. On the up side, the weather was beautiful and the whales were “crazy” making for a good show.
Today, was a lot of action on the Lady Merrilee Ann with Capt. Nicole at the helm, but the Haddock landed had to be released, so quite a few throwbacks. Still, it was quite the mixed bag of nice Pollock, Whiting, Redfish, and Cusk which made for a pretty decent trip out with high hook of 14; and again a beautiful day with everyone having a good time.
The Melanie Jeanne had a Whiting charter and reported excellent catch. The conversation I overheard sounded like their arms had a good workout. The Lady Tracey Ann also had a great day out; also same type of mix as the Lady Merrilee Ann.
The Half Day boat is still bringing in the Mackerel. They had a good morning trip, and a very proud young man showed me his bucket of fish, and he did do well. The afternoon trip has reported the catch is just as productive.
Our next Half Day trips are next weekend (AM & PM), and we still have plenty of room at this time.
Still plenty of good fishing time ahead and we hope to see you soon!
