Fishing has been excellent on the all day. That being said, only Whiting and Pollock are biting but in big numbers. Only a handful of Haddock, but double digits on the Whiting( huge ones) and Pollock. Still a few Reds and Cusk too. All the ground fish have moved offshore so half day Haddock trips are for enjoyment only, lucky to catch dinner. Mackerel are excellent at the Isles of Shoals, killed them both trips yesterday. Stripers are around but no great shakes, still skunks on some trips, but if you’re lucky you’ll catch a few keepers. Only a few Striper trips left for 2025, check the calendar for availability. Only two fireworks trips left, 8/20&27. Where did the summer go. As you know we are running year round this winter, once we get into November trips we will have limited passenger counts, few extra dollars and non refundable deposits required. Obviously refundable if we have to cancel for whatever reason(usually weather). But no shows will not be refunded. But that’s a ways off. That will be in effect middle of November until middle of March when the start of Redfish season starts. MEMO on Hurricane Erin. It will not be affecting our fishing schedule, BUT, check here, nobody can accurately predict what it will do! There should be a roll(lazy swells) but hardly noticeable while out fishing. Surf will stay where it’s supposed to be, along the beach!!!!!!!! We don’t take people out fishing to make them sick and miserable, we need them to come back, so it’s important they have a great time.
