Very slow morning, only 20 fish in the boat when Capt Tory moved into the gully and it was non stop until time to go home. 10 caught there limit, most of the rest were 6-10 pp and just a few only had 5. Still there and for the guy that complained about too much […]
Off day is just RELATIVE to how it’s been, which has been ridiculous. Captain Tory said the machine was stacked up with them every where he went, they just weren’t hungry today, kept trying different bunches to find a hungry bunch, but it was just a pick all day. All beautiful nice Haddock, just not […]
Tide was gone and fishing was back to almost normal compared to like it’s been. Certainly not a slam/massacre (some of the words) but definitely good. Some only had 5-8, but many had their limit. Jackson “Hollywood Gauron” did his family name proud by catching his limit of 15 and a giant cusk. Next few […]
Was just too good to be true, so we had a wake up call today. Tide was brutal, full boat and that made it difficult fishing since we had to anchor every stop. Couldn’t drift or even use the chute. Numbers way down, still ok for some. Few guys with their 15, few guys skunked, […]
Never in my lifetime and I’m getting old, has Haddock fishing been so good. Doubles, triples and we had to come home early, did grab some Pollock but the crew is wearing down, not to worry we have recruits coming in for the next several days. Tomorrow and Saturday is sold out, Sunday and Monday […]
It doesn’t stop, as good as it can get. Haddock limits for everyone on board, plus a bunch of Pollock to go with them. This report is from Capt Phil who just talked to Tory, being reported from me in the Galápagos Islands. Isn’t technology crazy, if I could only master how to use it. […]
Headed out at 7 this morning. I’ll give a report as soon as I hear from Capt Tory. Plenty of room tomorrow (Thursday, Jan 30), and right now room on Saturday & Sunday. Some spots still open for Friday’s trip. Capt Phil
Next day out will be Wednesday, January 29th, and looks like a 3 – 4 day stretch in a row!! We’ll be fully past the new moon and hoping the tides died down and the fishing will be “Lock & Load”! Capt Phil
Lot of tide still few guys managed to hit double digit but most 5 or 6 with the new moon!! We’ll be passed the new moon by next week after this blow and hopefully be back to limiting out! Haddock still very abundant in the area, my Cousin BeeBee Deck loaded up on the Dragger […]
We thought things had changed, at 1235 the fish to passenger ratio was 1:2 only 30 fish on the boat. Capt Tory pulled out all the stops and summoned Curran to the wheelhouse. Moved a short way and slammed them for the last couple hours of the trip, same as yesterday 8-12 average, couple limits […]
